Just before that, he also created an autobiography here, so his real name was revealed. He volunteered elsewhere in the internet about suffering of mental disorder(s), and of being infected with computer viruses by Wiki editors (such as myself), as well as attempting his murder through lethal kittens -I am not joking. Just like you, I have been contacted by other users from other forums, where he has been banned as well for strange behavior. He is trully mentally unstable, and extremely persistent. Not every wikipedian feels the same way about the issue. Plus, I joined 10 years ago to build a free encyclopedia, not be part of a political movement. Moot point for those of us that do not want Wikipedia to ever turn political, regardless of the consequences, for this or SOPA or whatever comes next. This also assumes everyone here agrees on Net Neutrality, which unlike Free Speech, is not the case, so you would alienating editors who have a different opinion and forcing them to say something against their political philosophy or leave the community. I agree with Isaacl here. Leaving it open might be pointless insofar as changing the consensus, but it's one of those topics that people want to opine and debate, and cutting it off early might be seen negatively. Better to keep the discussion in one place, particularly as it has been very civil up to now.

Actually, Guy is correct on the larger point. Obviously, South Park is about as politically incorrect as you can get. But it’s also pretty much always on the nose with its skewering of our society. And while their point last night was not really “tech backlash,” they inadvertently circled around what everyone fears: people are being replaced with machines. And the people inventing the machines have soft jobs and college degrees - and because of that, are obviously missing some core American values.
But guess what? This has been happening forever. Our goal as a race seems to be to keep inventing new technology, continually upping the ante. It’s core to our survival. And each wave is vilified, from the steel industry, to railroads, to electricity … and now, data mining, e-commerce, and self-driving cars. The perpetrators of these evils always start our as robber barons, before they morph into something gentler. It’s just the tech industry’s time under the microscope.
