On Saturday, NBC News reported that United States military hackers have penetrated Russia’s electric grid, telecommunications networks and the "Kremlin’s command systems."

The penetration by all sides appears to be in preparation for an all-out war in cyberspace, according to NBC News, which said it was briefed by a US intelligence official and given an opportunity to review highly classified documents.

Moreover, the White House accused Moscow of involvement in a series of hacking attacks, resulted in a bunch of leaked documents of the Democrat Party. Washington is also concerned that Kremlin-related hackers may try to interfere with the upcoming US presidential election. Reports that US hackers have penetrated parts of Russia’s infrastructure making them vulnerable for cyberattacks are aimed to distract public attention from failures in domestic and foreign policy, said Russian lawmaker Sergei Zheleznyak. "These reports are an irresponsible and dangerous information provocation aimed to distract attention from reputational failures in foreign and domestic policy before the presidential election in the US," Zheleznyak said in a statement for media.

US Warns Of Possible Al-Qaeda Terrorist Attack On Monday Targeting NY, Texas And Virginia

Alas, even that may be on the horizon because as CBS News reported moments ago, the news station has learned about a potential terror threat for the day before the election: "Sources say U.S. intelligence has alerted joint terrorism task forces that al-Qeada could be planning attacks in three states for Monday.
CBS adds that it is believed New York, Texas and Virginia are all possible targets, though no specific locations are mentioned.

A senior FBI official told CBS News, ““The counterterrorism and homeland security communities remain vigilant and well-postured to defend against attacks here in the United States.  The FBI, working with our federal, state and local counterparts, shares and assesses intelligence on a daily basis and will continue to work closely with law enforcement and intelligence community partners to identify and disrupt any potential threat to public safety.” During holiday seasons and when big events are approaching, intelligence about potential threats always increases.

While CBS tried to moderate the warning by noting that the "sources stress the intelligence is still being assessed and its credibility hasn’t been confirmed, but counterterrorism officials were alerted to the threat out of abundance of caution", such a threat may lead to a depressed turnout in these three states and potentially impact the outcome of the presidential election.

 In what has emerged as the latest scandal involving Donald Trump, the presidential candidate on Friday retracted a statement that he had seen a video on TV of a plane carrying $400 million in cash to Iran, money which as the WSJ reported earlier this week was allegedly made as a ransom payment to free 4 US hostages held by Iran. The statement was a rare reversal of comments he made on the campaign trail earlier this week...

And then, just as Trump was retracting his claims, something curious happened.
Overnight, the BBC reported that a video did indeed exist, referring to a documentary called "The Rules of the Game" which was broadcast on Iranian state TV in February. In the clip, one can see shots of an airport are accompanied by commentary which references 17 January in Tehran's Mehrabad Airport.
Specifically, the video shows a loaded crate, partially blurred out, which allegedly shows the money in question.
