The Russian Armed Forces will conduct over 1,000 command-and-staff and tactical exercises during the summer training period from June to November this year, the Defense Ministry said.

The summer training will focus on improving interoperability of all branches of the Armed Forces and efficient use of automated battlefield management systems, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

The training will be carried out on average 2-3 times a week with the emphasis on weapons proficiency and driving skills.

The training period will culminate with the Kavkaz-2012 large-scale strategic exercises in southern Russia and North Caucasus, which would also involve Abkhaz and South Ossetian military units.

In addition, Russia will hold about 50 joint military exercises with foreign countries, including the Slavic Commonwealth – 2012 with Ukraine and Belarus, the INDRA-2012 with India and the Selenga with Mongolia.

The Russian Navy will traditionally take part in RIMPAC, FRUKUS, Northern Eagle and Blackseafor international naval drills.

A US Army officer says the US and South Korean special forces have been parachuting into North Korea to spy on the country’s military installations.


Army Brigadier General Neil Tolley, the commander of US Special Operations Forces in South Korea, said US and South Korean forces have been sent into North Korean territories to gather intelligence on the location of specific underground sites, AFP reported on Monday.

"We send (South Korean) soldiers and US soldiers to the North to do special reconnaissance," the US commander said.

Tolley made the comments during a speech at a Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa, a city in the US state of Florida, last Tuesday.

He claimed that Pyongyang had built thousands of underground tunnels since the Korean War and these tunnels were hidden from US reconnaissance satellites.


"After 50 years, we still don't know much about the capability and full extent of the underground facilities," he added.

Tensions have peaked on the Korean Peninsula following North Korea’s recent attempt to launch a satellite in April and reports that Pyongyang might conduct a new nuclear test.

A US congressional committee is pressuring President Barack Obama's administration to redeploy tactical nuclear weapons to South Korea.

But government officials in Seoul have rejected the idea of nuclear weapons deployment in South Korea, arguing that the move would derail efforts to persuade the North into halting its nuclear arms program.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami police shot and killed a man on the MacArthur Causeway Saturday afternoon, and police sources told CBS4 they had no choice: the naked man they shot was trying to chew the face off another naked man, and refused to obey police orders to stop his grisly meal.

Surveillance video taken from security cameras at the nearby Miami Herald building show a police officer arrive on the scene, appears to be startled by the spectacle of two naked men lying on the street, and draw his service weapon. It appears that the officer shot one of the men, but it was difficult to tell in the video.

The bizarre shooting happened shortly after 2 p.m., when police responded to a 911 call about two naked men fighting on a bike path along the Causeway, which was packed with traffic on a busy holiday weekend.

Miami police have not confirmed the details of what happened next, but sources close to the investigation told CBS4 News that officers found one man gnawing on the face of another, in what one police source called the most gruesome thing he’d ever seen.

The fight was taking place at the causeway exit near the Miami Herald building, and amazed officers tried to stop it, ordering the man making a meal out of the other man to stop.

Sources told CBS4 that the man refused to obey, and continued his attack. Investigators sharing limited details about the confrontation, saying only that the two men were fighting and the officers felt they had no choice but to take deadly force.

“During this confrontation an officer did discharge his weapon striking one of the individuals, said Det. Willie Moreno, spokesperson for Miami Police.

But the sources close to the investigation say that dry recitation of the facts apparently doesn’t go far enough. They said the man still would not give in to police commands, so officers fired again.

“That individual has lost his life right now,” Moreno said.

With the attacker dead, lying nude on the pavement, officers and paramedics were able to get to his victim and rush him to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police sources say the man had virtually no face and was unrecognizable.

Police have shared no information about his identity or condition.

The surveillance video supplied to CBS4 by The Herald under a news sharing agreement is disturbing. At one point, whomever was controlling the cameras zoomed in to the two men lying nude and partially obscured by the MetroMover track. One man is motionless, but the other, presumably the man whose face was attacked, can be seen flailing his legs, possibly in pain.

The Herald used video editing told to obscure portions of that man’s body as he moved.

The video covers a time frame of about 8 minutes, but despite the shooting of the attacker and the obvious distress shown by the victim, paramedics are not seen attempting to rescue him.

The victim was eventually taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Once the bizarre confrontation came to an end, police were left with the task of figuring out what had happened. The investigation forced the closure of the causeway from Miami Beach to Miami, and also closed an exit to the causeway from I-95.

The investigation snarled traffic for hours and delayed thousands of motorists until ways could be found to get them off the causeway.

Police have had little official to say about the details, and have not released the name of the cannibalistic attacker.

GALVESTON, TX (KTLA) -- A self-proclaimed vampire is behind bars after allegedly breaking into a woman's apartment and trying to suck her blood.

The victim says a man wearing only his boxer shorts broke into her bedroom early Saturday.

She says the man grabbed her and made growling and hissing sounds while biting her neck and hitting her.

She was able to get away and called police, who found 19-year-old Lyle Monroe Bensley screaming and growling in the building's parking lot.

Bensley was arrested and taken to a hospital for a psych evaluation.

According to police, Bensley claims to be a 500-year-old vampire and says he couldn't resist the chance to feed.

Bensley faces charges of burglary with intent to commit assault and is being held on $40,000 bond.

The victim walked away with scratches and welts and what cops say looked like teeth marks on her neck.

Josephine Smith, 'Vampire,' Attacks Florida Senior Citizen, Cops Say.

"I am a vampire, I am going to eat you," was the last thing Josephine Smith allegedly said before she viciously assaulted a homeless senior citizen sleeping on the porch of a vacant Hooters, according to Florida police.

Smith, 22, attacked 69-year-old Milton Ellis early Thursday morning, biting chunks of flesh from the victim's face, lips, and arms police said.

Ellis managed to escape and call 911, but not before the so-called vampire removed "the top layer of skin" on his arm. He later received stitches for his wounds.

Ellis had invited his soon-to-be attacker to join him at the abandoned restaurant while she waited for a relative from Pensacola to pick her up, according to the St. Petersburg Times.

"He was staying near an overhang near the vacant Hooter's restaurant so he thought it might be a good place for her to stay," Mike Puetz of the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Smith told authorities that she had no recollection of the attack and could not explain why she was naked and covered in blood, according to local 13-News.

Smith is charged with felony aggravated battery on an elderly person, and is currently being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $50,000 bond.

The reason I have attached the following article is because I believe it is an important part of the drama the Illuminati are currently portraying the U.S./Israeli relations to be in. The truth is of course, that this is part of the skit they want the public to believe.

The skit/drama, goes as follows: They will try to sell, through the media, this rift between Tel Aviv and Washington. The rift will be seen as too great to reconcile and hence Israel will be seen as having no alternative than to carry out the strike themselves. I believe this strike to be imminent, seeing how the next round of Iran nuclear talks is scheduled for June 18-19 in Moscow.

Already the U.S. senate quietly passed a bill on Thursday officially committing the U.S. in supporting Israel against Iran through financial and military means.

The rupture between the US and Israel over Iran’s nuclear program widened further Friday, May 25 when Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak decided not to be available to hear the briefing brought to Jerusalem from Baghdad by Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman who headed the US delegation to the Six Power talks. The report she delivered to National Security Adviser Yaakov Amidror and Foreign Ministry Director-General Rafi Barak was that no progress had been achieved in Baghdad due to Iran’s refusal to budge on its “right” to enrich uranium at low (3.5-5 percent) or high (20 percent) levels or shut down the Fordo nuclear plant near Qom.
Although the participants agreed to reconvene in Moscow in three weeks, the Iranian delegation stressed there would be no progress until the US and the other five world powers (Britain, France, Russia, Germany and China) recognized Iran’s absolute “right” as a signatory of the Non-Proliferation Treaty to enrich uranium.

Meanwhile, every day spent on diplomacy is thoroughly exploited by Iran to zip ahead with its nuclear plans. The Vienna-based UN nuclear watchdog (IAEA)’s quarterly report released Friday reveals that since February Iran almost doubled its stockpile of more highly enriched uranium which is close to weapons grade from 73.4 to 145 kilograms.
The centrifuges at the Fordo facility, built into the side of a mountain, rose to over 500 from 300 in the last report.

Using the IAEA figures, debkafile calculates that if Fordo goes on producing 23.9 kilograms of 20-percent enriched uranium per month, Iran will by the end of December have accumulated 336 kilograms of near-weapons quality uranium.
The IAEA also reported that Iran’s stockpile of uranium enriched to less than 5 per cent grew to 6,232 kilograms from 5,451 reported in February.

Its inspectors recorded “the presence of particles” of 27 per cent-enriched uranium at Fordo. Iran maintained the particles were a result of “technical reasons beyond the operator’s control.”

The IAEA report was released a day after talks between Tehran and the six powers ended without progress.
Iran’s senior delegate Saeed Jalili declared that his government would never accept the Washington-ruled distinction between two categories of nations – one permitted and the other forbidden to enrich uranium. He claimed this was against international treaties.

Friday, the Washington Post quoted Mohammad Hoseyn Moussavian of Princeton University as revealing that in 2004, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said, “I would resign if for any reason Iran is deprived of its rights to enrichment.”
Moussavian is presented as an Iranian academic visiting Princeton to lecture and write a book on the Iranian nuclear issue. debkafile reveals that he was the contact man in one of the direct, back-channel negotiations taking place in Paris between the White House and Khamenei. His words therefore were intended to carry weight as a reminder to Obama that the supreme leader, like the US president, intended to come out of their dialogue strengthened – not undermined. And therefore, for both their sakes, Washington must endorse Iran’s “right to enrichment.”
Tehran presented a second ultimatum for the nuclear talks to continue: phased sanctions relief, starting with the postponement of the European Union’s oil embargo scheduled for July 1 until the end of negotiations and the reconnection of Iranian banks to the SWIFT international money transfer system.
The gap between Israel and the Obama administration widened in the course of Washington’s direct, secret give-and-take with Tehran. In early April, Defense Minister Barak reported that Israel offered some compromise on the enrichment issue. debkafile disclosed at the time that Israel had informed Washington of its approval of a “1,000 formula.” Iran would be permitted to activate 1,000 centrifuges for enrichment and keep 1,000 kilograms of 3.5-per cent enriched uranium.
The Netanyahu government backtracked when this concession was used by US officials as a lever for further accommodations with Iran.
The direct US-Iran channel and the second round of Six Power talks with Iran have clearly left the standoff over Iran’s nuclear solidly in place: Iran stands by its right to enrich uranium up to weapons grade, the US stands by diplomacy, however hopeless, for resolving the controversy, while Israel demands a time limit for negotiations. Its military option was put back on the table for so long as Iran’s enrichment centrifuges continue spinning at top speed.

COMING INTERNET SHUTDOWN, UNUSUAL INSIDER PUT OPTIONS= ILLUMINATI PLANS FOR GLOBAL MELTDOWN!

The following put option information, as always is the case, is very informative and very telling about what's coming. I have written the stock symbols and next to them what kind of company in general they are. Also next to the type of company, or sector it belongs to, is the number that indicates the very strange trading ratios in these sectors.

If you look at BKX, it is a Banking Index, and it what being bout at 20x the norm. Indicating that many are seeing something in the financials and are betting on something big that will happen to this sector. For Eurozone bank runs would precede any U.S. bank runs. Many believe that the FDIC would protect/cover their funds up to 200k. The problem here of course is that the FDIC is broke and the small print in the FDIC agreement is that the government will cover those funds, but can take anywhere up to 40 years to do so!

Another sector which is also almost daily being purchased at very high ratios is the the software Technology companies. Insiders here are also seeing, or knowing about something that will affect all tech sectors. If you look at the two links, with just a brief summary of the articles in question, you will notice that they are both referrencing these two initial sectors that I am referring to. The Google story refers to millions of computers losing internet connections in July, and the following article refers to a probable European bank run throughout the Eurozone, which in many ways is already happening.

The Illuminati have been trying for some time now to take down the Internet, seeing how this is the place that millions, if not billions of people are finally waking up as to who they are.

They might have figured that the official paths, that is through legislation, was taking too long, and in many cases not happening as they would have like it. So instead, they are finding alternate routes to shut it down, or at least the sites that are most damaging to them.

But of course, the pretext has to be labled as cyber hackers who, according to them is the reason these sites, or these computers will be shut down.

Another sector that I am constantly seeing is healthcare. Almost daily I keep seeing healthcare related puts being purchased at anything from 5-15 times the normal. The only thing I can think of that would really affect all of these health care/pharma type companies might be two things combined.

A wall street crash, which is already happenning in slow motion, so as to not alert the masses, and the Suprem Court's decision of Obama care, which is about to be know in a few weeks. But insiders are all ready signaling what the result is going to be to this decision.

Another two that I found quite interesting were MDP and PTR.

MDP is somewhat of a media conglomerate, and PTR, is Petro China, one of China's largest Oil and petrochemical companies.

I don't know how or why this media company could be affected, other than the simple loss of communication through some false flag cyber attack could disrupt many media outlets. But the PTR could and will be very affected due to a strike on Iran. For such a strike would really affect China's oil and energy sectors.

So the very fact that insiders are already buying puts into PTR, is a red flag as two how far in advance these plans to strike Iran really are.

Google plans to warn more than half a million users of a computer infection that may knock their computers off the Internet this summer.

Unknown to most of them, their problem began when international hackers ran an online advertising scam to take control of infected computers around the world. Godliness builds an intelligent moral order in society. Satan desires to tear down this order and its authoritative governing structures because they support godliness in disciplining fallible human nature by setting up as standards of conduct the guides of right reason, thus opposing the chaos of rule by the standards of passion, expediency, popular opinion, etc. In order to tempt godly society to tear down its own righteous order, Satan’s agents, who were incapable of doing so great a feat themselves, brewed a popular philosophy of revolution that would justify and even impel men to tear down their own house. This evil philosophy’s slogans challenged the basic principles supporting the rational and godly order of society, which God had helped Christian people establish through much sacrifice and labor.
The revolutionary philosophy of hell designed to appeal to the rebellious nature of man’s pride in himself and aversion to God’s rule revolved around words like "liberty" and "equality." It asserted that everyone is "destined," by the god-hunger in them to be "free from the rule of others" and "equal to all others", therefore, there can be no ruling government, other than the temporary "government" of Anarchy, which destroys "the rule of others" with the rule of others, the elite revolutionary zealots who are licensed by ideology to destroy in the name of "Freedom." These unqualified "democratic" principles of liberty and equality lead to chaos, moral and civil disintegration, even the disintegration of the mind. But this end result, total destruction (Hell), is never put forward by the enemy, only utopian promises of a better world, advanced civilization, the solution of age-old problems, nirvana, peace, etc. They propose a transfer of power from the few to the many. They propose what will accomplish the destruction of the existing order, whether that be a monarchy, oligarchy, dictatorship, republic, or democracy. When that order is destroyed, they are soon proposing the destruction of that order which took its place, until the principle of chaos or disorder is enshrined in the death of all order, the negation of all evidence of intelligent life, that is, the reign of Satan, which is death and Hell.
The French Revolution celebrated the destruction of monarchy, in order to replace it with an oligarchy of powerful men who were replaced by a popular dictator, who was ruled by their secret government. Many years later, after having acquired near complete control of the medias of information and education, constitutional republics or so-called "democracies" could be controlled by the enemy effectively. Successively, rule appears to go into the hands of common, uneducated or miseducated men, but the reality is that they must actually depend on someone to tell them what their choices are, and these are the real, yet hidden, rulers. These uneducated or, better yet, poorly educated masses are more or less easily led by the manipulators of popular opinion. And who would dare revolt against the apparent majority of their fellow men. The most absolute dictatorship is the dictatorship of the proletariat, the common working man. Speak for him or pretend to speak for all such men, and you will have an insurmountable mandate.
When universal education became mandatory by law in the 20th century and fell, of course, into the hands of the State, the full education of men in the ungodly and anti-traditional principles could begin. Then Christian society could be thoroughly denigrated and misshapen with all manner of error, until the very idea of God’s rule over man could be erased from the minds of a whole generation.

Suffering the effects of evil in this battle is absolutely necessary for the discipline of weakened human nature, Son, which, if not scourged, will sink into sloth and be ruled by the lower world and die in the eternal misery of sin’s alienation from God.
Now let us look at a history of modern philosophy to see how the most basic thinking of mankind, which is the subject of philosophy, was slowly but radically disrupted and rendered absurd. The evil control achieved over mankind could not have taken place without the perversion of basic ideas upon which our whole viewpoint depends. In the perversion of the philosophical sciences of ontology (the study of being) and epistemology (the study of knowledge) we see the "inspiration" of Satan.
The corruption of Philosophy, "Queen of Sciences", by the enemy began with the nominalism of certain medieval philosophers, like William of Occam, arguing against the moderate realism taught by the Church, especially through St. Thomas Aquinas, who built upon the metaphysics of Aristotle.
The St. Thomas' teaching tells us that "Realism is a doctrine that universals exist outside the mind and that an abstract term names an independent and unitary reality." What could be more natural? But nominalism is "a theory that there are no universal essences in reality and that the mind can frame no single concept or image corresponding to any universal or general term."

If our mind cannot truly grasp the essential nature of real things, namely universals/absolutes, we cannot truly know anything real. The Church teaches that we can truly know reality, and, by that fact, we are made to be responsible for our actions in correspondence with the truth, which is defined as that which is (reality) in the understanding."
Nominalism claims that our knowledge is just made up of arbitrary terms chosen to represent what we think, and those terms don’t represent a real understanding of reality?
Nominalism never gives answers, it just destroys the truth, leaving the mind free to get lost.
Much later Emmanuel Kant picked up the inference of nominalism and fashioned the theory of idealism, which supposes … "that "the essential nature of reality lies in our consciousness, in the mind or reason," not in the real world outside the mind! Consider the implications here: If man’s mind is now empowered with the creation of the only reality "knowable," man is one step closer to appearing as God-like. He is not only liberated from God by this notion but also from the reality God made, and principally, the reality of his own created nature as man. This leads to complete amorality and immorality. And, Kant has led us to agnosticism, because we can't know God, only our own arbitrary mental constructs. But this describes the insane mind. [this is where society is today! the lunatics are in charge of the Asylum!!!]
The progression of error from nominalism through rationalism to idealism prepares the stage for atheistic/secular Humanism. For if reality is either a figment of the human mind or only something relevant to that mind, then the individual Mind is what we had formerly called God, and if man is God, there is no God, because the fact is, man is not God. [this is what the Matrix movies teach!]

The transcendent God of the Old and New Testament thus succeeds in enslaving and alienating His worshippers. He sets before them the face-to-face eternal embrace of Himself as a goal that is actually beyond man’s personal achievement. Yet He continually tortures man’s metaphysical hunger as if this human aspiration for complete communion were actually attainable.
… All modern atheism will thus be seen to be rooted in Hegel’s rejection of the God of the master-slave relationship, the God who begets an "unhappy conscience" in man, the God who reduces man from being a hero to being a "beautiful soul."
Freuerbach saw the inevitable outcome of Hegel’s reduction of God from the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus to the God of the philosophers and scientists. He saw that the God of the fifth Gospel – the gospel of reason according to Hegel – was merely a man-made God, sprung full-blown from the Hegelian head. Taking his inspiration, however, from Hegel’s work as a beginning which was going in the right direction, Feuerbach set himself to account psychologically for the illusion of all religion. He realized that Hegel had already demolished God without even suspecting his own great accomplishment. On the return flight to Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov filled in the space left by his Prime Minister Dmitri Medvadev’s silence at Camp David Saturday, May 20 with a large dose of skepticism on Iran.
Contradicting President Barack Obama’s statement that diplomacy was preferable to military action, Ryabkov said that the G8 leaders’ readiness to tap into emergency oil stockpiles quickly this summer “is one of the many various signals coming from various sources that the military option (on Iran) is considered as realistic and possible.”
He added: “We are receiving signals, both through public and intelligence channels, that this option is now being reviewed in some capitals as more applicable in this situation,’ said the Russian official.

As for the NATO weekend summit in Chicago, the decisions taken under Barack Obama’s leadership appear even less feasible. NATO issued a strong statement of support for the Eurozone. However, none of the leaders present came with remedies for pulling the continent out of its existential economic crisis.

Sunday, May 20, a former Greek finance minister warned that kicking Greece out would “open the gates of hell for Europe,” while British economists warned the UK economy “would never recover” if the euro collapsed.

The decision to withdraw all alliance troops from Afghanistan by the year 2014 is technically unfeasible so long as Pakistan refuses to allow them to cross through its territory and depart from its Indian Ocean and Arab Sea ports.

THE MAY 20TH 2012 SOLAR ECLIPSE.

Over the past few days I have been hearing and reading a lot about the solar eclipse tomorrow. Most of the information I found has origins not so much in prophecy, but rather astrological/esoteric origins and relevance.

One might perhaps be quick to dismiss the astrological significance, but the truth is that the Kabalistic Illuminati follow very closely most of these as astronomical movements, seeing how they have esoteric and hidden occultic powers and mysteries that are only known to these dark high priests.

It is then no surprise why they (Illuminati) also have a tendency of orchestrating ritualistic dark rites on different dates of astronomical significance.

I have attached the following pieces so that you get an idea of the possible significance it might have for them.

In the first piece I have attached, I have highlighted in red the next date for the next solar eclipse in 2012. Also, notice the duration of the one tomorrow which will be 3 hours and 33 minutes.

When I saw this number, I couldn't help but notice the Illuminati/Freemasonic relevance. First of all, the number 333. The Illuminati love series of numbers that are all factors of 11. Also note the 33 for the minutes; just like the highest degree or level in their secret society...33rd degree!

Also, this eclipse tomorrow is in many parts of the world known as the 'Serpent Eclipse.'

The serpent is after all, Lucifer, is the Illuminati god. So how could they not plan something for this most symbolic of eclipses.

Another most surprising thing about this solar eclipse tomorrow is the fact that according to Nostradamus and the Mayas and Aztecs, there could be a very strong earthquake associated with this eclipse. Notice also where the path of the eclipse travels. It travels right across the San Andreas fault line!

One last thing. In the second Quatrain I have from Nostradamus towards the bottom of the post, it states how, 'the infidels will call upon God and the saints.'

The question here is who does Nostradamus mean by the infidels? In my humble opinion the infidels here are the Christians that have been misled by the Illuminati false Christian evangelical churches. Churches that only preach and promote a false message of wealth and power.

Astrology and the Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012

The annular solar eclipse of May 20, 2012 in Gemini is one of two solar eclipses of 2012 (the other occurs in November, as eclipses run in pairs six months apart). An annular solar eclipse is named after the Latin word “annulus” or “ring”, and this type of eclipse occurs when the Moon is on the far side of its orbit and appears too small to cover the entire solar disk. As a result, at totality, a narrow ring of solar light is visible around the Moon. Approximately one-third of all eclipses are annular. From first to last penumbral contact, the eclipse will last 3 hours and 33 minutes. The totality of the eclipse will last 5 minutes and 46 seconds.

The eclipse will be visible in Southeast Asia, southern Japan, the Pacific Ocean, and western North America (view a Google Map of the eclipse path here). The traditional perspective on eclipses is that they influence primarily the places where they are visible; from an astrological perspective, eclipses are especially active where they are angular in the horoscope. The duration of the eclipse’s effects in years is equal to the duration of the eclipse, or 3 1/2 years. Thus, we will see the effects of the eclipse through the end of 2015.

The eclipse occurs closely conjunct to the 1st magnitude fixed star Mirfak (alpha Perseus, meaning “the Elbow” in Arabic), which is traditionally seen as the side of Perseus, the famed killer of the Medusa and the sea monster Cetus. The star can be said to give bravery and strength, though it is placed in a warlike constellation ruled by Jupiter and Saturn, according to Ptolemy. Jupiter is for justice, but Saturn is for death. In general, this eclipse may bring earthquakes or big storms – the eclipse occurs in Gemini, an air sign, and its ruler, Mercury, is in an earth sign with Jupiter. Certainly Mercury and Jupiter in Taurus can indicate disturbances and movement in the earth.
Let us look at possible effects of this eclipse on the various localities where it will be visible.

China (Southeastern), Macau, and Hong Kong: China has been involved in an altercation with the Philippine Navy in the South China sea over the last few weeks. Chinese vessels stopped the Philippine government from arresting Chinese fishermen accused of illegally fishing in the resource-rich Scarborough Shoal area. The Chinese online media has been talking up preparations for war, which China’s Defense Ministry has denied. The thought is that China is asserting itself to look in control during its political transition this year. The presence of the eclipse indicates further warlike behavior, as the ruler of the eclipse is Mercury with Jupiter, but as Mars is not prominent in the eclipse chart, we do not believe a war with the Philippines will actually start. This is supported by a lack of contacts between the eclipse and China’s 1949 foundation horoscopes.

The Philippines, however, have the eclipse right on the Midheaven (3 Gemini), and the Eclipse Mars (10 Virgo) falls on the natal Philippine Mars-Moon conjunction in the 1st house. The conflict will continue in the Philippines’ backyard, and while it will not make a ripple in the Chinese horoscope, the tensions – and potential conflict – in the Philippines will likely be high.

Japan: We expect changes in Japan following this eclipse. The country has shut off all of its nuclear reactors in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, and has recently announced the nationalization of Tepco, the private company that operated the Fukushima Daiichi site. The entire management and board will be replaced as Japan attempts to clean up and contain radiation. The warlike posture of Perseus will show itself as people will demand accountability for this unnecessary disaster.

United States: The eclipse will pass through Northern California, within a spitting distance of Sacramento, the state’s capital. The California governor, Jerry Brown, had announced that the California budget shortfall had grown to $16B, in contrast to the estimated $9B, and that in addition to more program cuts, an increase in taxes will be needed. This is a state that already has the highest sales tax in the nation, and the highest top income tax rate. The economic difficulties that currently envelop California will continue with an added hit of drama. There may be increased earthquake activity following the eclipse. The eclipse will be visible from Las Vegas, Nevada and will pass through New Mexico – Albuquerque, as well as Los Alamos.

That’s similar to what happened during several early funding rounds of Groupon Inc. grpn GRPN -4.90% , whose stock is now trading far below its IPO price.

Granted, Facebook is much more profitable at this point than Groupon, which posted a massive net loss in 2011, the same year it went public.

Yet as I pointed out in a column earlier this week, the frenzied demand for Facebook has driven its share price to a level where the stock is priced to perfection.

Savvy insiders know when to sell
A large body of research has shown that insiders time their sales of company stock better than retail investors. That may sound obvious, but it’s worth repeating this week, given the investing pedigree of those who are selling Facebook shares.

The list of insiders — including angel investor Peter Thiel, the venture-capital firm Accel Partners, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. GS -1.14% and Tiger Global Management — reads like a who’s who list of savvy tech investors.


Angel investor Peter Thiel (left) and Tiger Global’s Charles Coleman are selling shares. There was a time when angel investors and VC firms would sell only a small part of their stakes when start-ups in their portfolios conducted a blowout IPO. That signaled to the professional money managers buying IPO shares that they had enough confidence in the company to keep most of their skin in the game.

But investors in social-media companies have thrown that playbook out the window, and instead are selling as much as they can, as fast as they can.

Those guys were buying Facebook shares something like two, three or five years ago. Have you noticed they’re not buying any this week?

Given that they were early in recognizing Facebook’s value, they deserve to cash in. But do you want to be the one who hands them the cash?

Social-media bubble
Investment bubbles, from Dutch tulips to dot-com properties, don’t pop until sellers can’t find buyers. Given that Facebook raised both the size and the price of its offering, insiders who want to sell have found no shortage of takers.

Pinterest valued at $1.5 billion Scrapbooking website that has become a Silicon Valley darling because of its rapid user growth has raised $100 million in a financing round that values the start-up at $1.5 billion. Spencer Ante reports.
But the decision by so many Facebook insiders to sell so much of their respective stakes so soon suggests they don’t expect that dynamic to last.

Given the huge valuations being bestowed on young start-ups with no revenue, such as Instagram (bought by Facebook for $1 billion) and Pinterest, history says we’re not far from the top of the social-media investment bubble.

In the spring of 2000, The Wall Street Journal ran a front-page story describing how an investment club composed mostly of grandmothers in the Midwest had decided to move their money from conservative investments into tech stocks, hoping to get a piece of their then-outsize returns.

Within weeks, the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP -2.10% headed south. More than a decade later, it’s still 40% below those levels.

This week, the Journal had a story about a high-school investing club that was looking to buy Facebook IPO shares, with some convinced the stock was guaranteed to make money. To me, these stories sound eerily similar.

That’s not to say the social-media stock bubble can’t get a little bit larger, nor that those who buy Facebook shares on Friday won’t have the chance to make a profit. But before you put your hard-earned money into the IPO, ask yourself whether you can recognize a market top better than the company’s insiders.

The United States is leading what it described as the "largest military exercises in the Middle East in 10 years" in Jordan on Tuesday.

Eager Lion 2012 “is the largest exercise held in the region in the past ten years,” Major General Ken Tovo, head of the US Special Operations Forces, told reporters in Amman.

“Yesterday we began to apply the skills that we have developed over the last weeks in an irregular warfare scenario … They will last for approximately the coming two weeks,” he added.

“The message that I want to send through this exercise is that we have developed the right partners throughout the region and across the world … insuring that we have the ability to … meet challenges that are coming to our nations,” Tovo said.

Over 12,000 soldiers are taking part in the war games, representing 19 countries, including Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Pakistan, Qatar, Britain, France, Italy, Spain and Australia.

Jordanian army operations and training chief Major General Awni Adwan said the military exercise “has been in the planning phase for the past three years.”

“No forces will be deployed north … the exercise is not connected to any real world event,” Adwan said when asked if the war games were related to the ongoing violence in Jordan’s northern neighbor Syria.

"This has nothing to do with Syria. We respect the sovereignty of Syria. There is no tension between the Syrians and us. Our objectives are clear,” Adwan said.

Israel – despite having extensive security agreements with Jordan – was not invited to participate in the exercises. Several Arab nations participating in the drill are still formally at war with the Jewish state.

Shapiro: US Military Ready for Iran Strike – If Needed
US Ambassador tells Israelis that America's military is not only ready to strike Iran, but has made all the necessary preparations to do so.

US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro said this week his nation's military is ready to execute "the military option" on Iran's nuclear program if need be.

Makor Rishon reported that Shapiro, speaking at a meeting of the Israel Bar Association for Tel Aviv and the Central Region, said that not is an American military option available, but that made all necessary preparations to carry it out were complete.

"We do not know if sanctions and diplomacy will work," Shapiro said of Western efforts to force Tehran to halt its controversial uranium enrichment program. "So, all options are on the table, including the military option."

Shapiro said US President Barak Obama made it clear in previous meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu - and public pronouncements – that the US will do whatever is necessary to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

"I think this is a statement that America can take to the bank, that Israel can take to the bank, and that Iran should take to the bank," Shapiro said.

"We believe that there is a window – not an unlimited time – in which we can still use diplomacy to achieve our goal," he said.

Shapiro stressed "At some point we will have to decide if diplomacy has failed. What we want to do is give it any chance, because this is another thing that Israel and the US agree on – that it’s better to solve this diplomatically and through sanctions, than through military force."

"But that does not mean that the military option is not available. In fact, this is not only an available option, but as I said, it is ready. All the necessary preparations have been made to read it," he repeated.

Shapiro added that Obama considered an Iranian nuclear weapon counter to America's national interests, and was unafraid to use military force to protect those interests.

"This is a part of the fight against international terrorism," Shapiro said, adding, "Certainly it was the right decision to eliminate Bin Laden. This is a good indication of president’s ability to make hard choices when he believes the interests of the US are on the line."

Shapiro's remarks come ahead of talks between the P5+1 – the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany – and Iran in Baghdad next week.

A previous round of talks held earlier this year resulted in no progress other than an agreement for more talks.

Ahead of those talks International Atomic Energy Agency officials have pressured Iran for access to sites where they suspect Iran has conducted nuclear research of a military nature.

In particular, IAEA officials want Iran to address concerns expressed in an extensive IAEA report in November that at least until 2003, and possibly since, that Tehran has engaged in nuclear activities of a decidedly military nature.

Two previous trips to Tehran in January and February by the IAEA resulted in Iran denying international inspectors access to suspected nuclear sites.

Iran, as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, is obligated to allow the UN watchdog access to its site for inspections to ensure it is complying with the treaty - but has consistently refused to honor the treaty.

IAEA chief Yukiya Amano said recently that access to Parchin was a "priority" and said in March that "activities" spotted by satellite there "makes us believe that going there sooner is better than later."

In March, Amano charged Iran with a systemic attempt to cover up nuclear activity of a military nature saying, "Iran is not telling us everything."

Western nations have accused Iran of removing evidence from Parchin and other sites. Iran says any allegations of "sanitization" of the site were "a childish (and) ridiculous story made out of nothing."

Observers note that Shapiro's assertion that Jerusalem and Washington are in lock-step on how to deal with Iran's nuclear program is out of harmony with statements by senior Israeli officials.

While Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has publicly said Western sanctions should be given more time, he has told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee he does not believe they are working. He also said that sanctions were not working openly during a trip to Cyprus earlier this year.

Israeli officials – including Defense Minister Ehud Barak – have charged that further talks are a waste of time saying Iran is using them stall for time in its bid for nuclear weapons.

Analysts believe the likelihood of an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities in the coming months will dramatically increase should the Baghdad talks fail.

JPMorgan's Spectacular Whale Fail Was Preceded By Unusual Options Trading Activity

Put options on JPMorgan were unusually active ahead of yesterday's announcement of credit-trading losses.
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL It appears that once again someone’s bunny had a good nose and they dug into the option patch to bring home a bunch of tasty carrots just in time for Mother's Day.

Yesterday afternoon following the close, JPMorgan (JPM) held a surprise conference call to announce significant losses in structured-credit trading.

Before that, the JPMorgan May $41 put options -- the weeklies that expire today -- saw 13,843 contracts trade. Prior open interest was just 4,370 contracts, so this was nearly three times the prior open interest.

This morning, open interest in that strike came in at 7,100 contracts, nearly doubling. And according to ISE data, 65% of the transactions were done at the offer price, suggesting fresh buying.

The puts traded between $0.22 and $0.50 over the course of the day with the largest transaction being 500 at $0.35 per contract.

This morning, those puts were trading around $3.80 per contract.

Back-of-the-envelope math would indicate that if, for example, one trader accounted for 65% of that volume, the profit potential is somewhere in the $24 million range for that lucky fella.

Now I’m sure much of it was just normal trading ahead of today’s weekly expiration, but it should be noted that above average volume that exceeded prior open interest also occurred in today's $41 puts, which jumped from $0.40 to around $2.90, as well as the $40 puts that expire next week.

I'm not saying anything untoward happened here, but this appears to be something more than simple hedging.

Things Aren't as Bad as You Think! They're Worse.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL Before I get into the charts, indulge me in a bit of a rant regarding some of the systemic fundamental problems facing the world.

By now, everyone understands that Europe is in trouble. However, not everyone understands why Europe's troubles should impact American stock markets. I'm going to try to explain why in very simple terms: Because the problems facing the world now are so deeply-interconnected that the technicalities quickly become overwhelming to the average person.

It's a little-known fact that European banks have been bailed out previously by the American taxpayer. European banks received $30 billion in bailout money, using AIG as a conduit. A "stealth bailout of Europe," if you will. This fact alone would outrage most Americans, but for some reason, it's not talked about very often.

And it gets worse.

After the Federal Reserve opened lending to foreign banks, the Belgian-French bank Dexia alone received $59 billion. So American taxpayers (and America) are on the hook to Europe. If Europe falls apart, it will be the shot heard 'round the world, because banks like Dexia in turn owe Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan (and others) substantial debt -- so if Europe can't pay its debts, then our banks will also suffer. Thus, in a similar way, the European Central Bank's Long Term Refinancing Operations (known as LTRO) were a stealth bailout of American banks.

I've discussed this before, but many investors mistakenly believe that stocks are driven by fundamentals, such as the economy, the employment rate, etc.. While it's true that the economy can have an impact on the stock market, it's not for the reasons most people think. The only thing that drives stock prices is liquidity. If there is excess liquidity, some of that cash finds its way into stocks and other assets -- so one frequent by-product of a good economy is a liquid market, which means stocks rise. However, the economy itself is, in reality, only impacting the market indirectly. The reverse is usually true in a bad economy: Bad economies lead to a liquidity crunch and stocks fall. But not this time. In a moment, we'll discuss why.

To understand the concept of liquidity vs. the economy as a driver of stocks, simply look at the Nasdaq Composite, which is currently trading above its 2007 high. Then ask yourself: Is the economy as good or better now than it was in 2007? Obviously not -- so if the economy were truly the driver, then the markets would be substantially lower, since things are worse than in 2007. So why aren't the markets lower?

Since 2009, the massive money printing from the TARP bailout, the ECB's LTRO, QE1, QE2, Operation Twist, and others, have provided the liquidity to keep the stock rally going. As far as I can see, this liquidity is virtually the only thing driving stocks higher. The amount of liquidity injected into the system in recent years is mind boggling, yet stocks have barely reached 2007 levels.

Anyway, that liquidity gets confused with "real" money, and also gets spent as real money, which drives stocks and other assets higher. ("Real" money is money created when an economy produces more than it consumes. In other words, real money comes from production.) In this current world, there is limited production; the prime mover driving asset prices is inflation from the printing presses.

But this game is not without consequence.

To illustrate a portion of the problems facing the world's banks and governments, I'm going to draw a simple (and probably illegal, if put into practice) analogy. Please note that I'm not recommending you try this at home -- leave this stuff to the trained professionals at the Fed and ECB.

Let's imagine that you had three checking accounts, all of which had a real balance of $0. Now let's further imagine that you write a check for $1000 to yourself from account #1 to account #2, while simultaneously you write another $1000 check from account #2 to account #3, and another $1000 check from account #3 back to account #1.

So it looks like this:

Account #1 = $1000 ----> Account #2 = $1000 ----> Account #3 = $1000 ---> Account #1

For a brief instant on your balance sheet, it will appear as if you have $3000 -- even though, in reality, once all the checks clear against each other, you actually still have a real balance of $0.

This is not unlike what many of the world's governments and banks have done for themselves and for each other. The reason it works better for them is that their "checks" take years, or even decades (with long bonds, for example) before they have to be cashed. If you could introduce the same long delays into your hypothetical (and illegal) checking account activity, then you could pretend you had $3000 for a while. And if the checks counted as credits immediately, but weren't actually debited to the parent accounts for years, then you could even spend the money in each account, just as if you really had $3000.

I realize this is a dramatic over-simplification -- what's really happening, especially when you factor in credit default swaps and everything else, is nearly as complicated as the quantum mechanical concept of paired particles and their ability to communicate across infinite distances at speeds faster than light. Maybe eight people on the planet truly understand the complete math behind either concept, and unfortunately, it seems that none of those people are actually in charge. Which introduces another problem: The massive complexity of the system lends itself to human error. We all know that the more moving parts something has, the easier it is to break... and the harder it is to fix once it's broken.

Despite my simplification for purposes of illustration, this checking account analogy is not entirely unlike what's happening out there in the real world, except out there it's occurring on a massive scale. The banks and governments of the world have been spending as if the "checks" they wrote to themselves (and each other) were real money for so long that at this point, virtually everybody owes everyone else a piece of the Pretend Money Pie. Eventually, somewhere down the line, one or more accounts are going to need to be debited for the cash.

And then it all falls apart, because there is no cash.

This basic issue is the reason why, from a fundamental perspective, I remain bearish.

Does that mean stocks will collapse this week, this month, or this year? Possibly; possibly not. The charts are certainly warnings that the potential is there, right here and now. But these are uncharted waters in a way. We've never seen this level of massive and coordinated intervention in the "free" markets at any prior point in history. This makes things a bit challenging for an analyst, because we really have nothing to go on except the lessons and patterns of history. But this is an experiment that has no precedent.

Certain signals that often foreshadowed declines in the past have, in this new world of endless bailouts and the tireless printing press, sometimes simply foreshadowed more intervention, leading the market to rally against the seeming odds.

So the situation doesn't preclude stocks from moving higher over the intermediate term. But it does lead one to wonder how long this massive Ponzi scheme can continue. Further, there does seem to be a diminishing return to the money printing, if one compares how each successive money launch has yielded smaller and smaller rallies in stocks and bonds. At some point, one of the links in this massive chain seems almost certain to fail. And when one link breaks, the whole chain falls apart.

What are the charts telling us?

The charts of the S&P 500 (^GSPC) and Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) are telling us that things may be about to get a whole lot worse. The possibility of a big decline is definitely present right here and now. As I discussed yesterday, this is a case of potential energy. The market has wound itself up, and a solid break beneath the key S&P 500 level of 1340 could cause a rapid drop. I hesitate to use the "c" word ("crash" -- get your mind out of the gutter!), but the potential does exist.

Will it come to pass? I don't have a crystal ball, but from what I can see, the probability is reasonable.

Let's start with an overview of several indices. This chart shows that virtually all indices have broken, and most have back-tested, their key uptrends off the October 2011 lows.
