- On Monday, August 29, we reported that Russia had mobilized Reserve
Army Troops for the first time since the 1968 invasion of
Czechoslovakia. Today, Tuesday August 30, we have found that the total
mobilization is actually 80 mobilization brigades. About 10 tank
brigades, 30 motor rifle brigades, 20 artillery and 20 other support

According to the Pentagon, there has never been a mobilization like this in Russia before. The shear size of it is described by seasoned Pentagon officials as "staggering!" According to two separate sources in the Intelligence Community, various intel sources indicate the Russians intend to take action - but they are not certain if that action will be in Ukraine, Syria or . . . Turkey. The fear is that the size of this mobilization may mean "all of the above."

Russia has also mobilized divisions of the National Guard, and the NAF is mobilizing its reserves to go from 35,000 men to 95,000.
Russia has assured this will be a coalition war by sending its CSTO allies to the Belarussian-Polish border. So that includes units from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
When you count it all up, Russia and allies now have something like half a million men on alert opposite Ukraine, the Baltics and Poland.
The German government has begun sending out Conscription (Draft) Orders for military service and the people being drafted into the Army are DOCTORS! One must report to a military center to begin Army service in eight (8) days, the other is required to report in fourteen (14) days. The notices make clear the Doctors "are not to talk about this with anyone."

The Russian government, including all its Ministries, even Russia's National bank, are now also taking part in sudden "wartime test."
Reservists in the Southern, Central and Western Military Districts are being called up, and trucks from the civilian sector are being transferred into military service as per the mobilization plans. In addition, workers in militarily vital industries in southern Russia are being conscripted into the Ministry of Defense - they can no longer quit or transfer without military approval for the duration of the alert.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense
"There will also be carried out conscription of citizens from the reserve supply of automotive technology and the formation of military units of territorial defense in the Southern, Central Military District and the Northern Fleet.
Field offices of Bank of Russia for the first time will take the financial security troops apart from the permanent dislocation points. In addition, a number of enterprises of the military-industrial complex in southern Russia will test the willingness to carry out tasks for the supply and repair of weapons, military and special equipment."
To understand the magnitude of what's taking place, consider that 3 military districts each with ~ 50 administrative units (oblasts+republics). Only Stavropol has called-up 4600 reservists. If the average reserve call-up elsewhere is only half (average 2000) that makes this call-up of Russian Reserve Troops about 100, 000 !!!
Stavropol is home to a BKhiRVT. That's a mobilization brigade, all the vehicles and weapons but no troops. They have now manned it with 4600 reservists, adding another maneuver brigade to the 49th Combined Arms Army. There are accounts of multiple BKhiRVTs in several Military Districts being manned.
This call-up of Reserves is almost unprecedented. They've never called up the reserves. Not for Crimea, or Georgia, or even even Chechnya.
In scale, this is closer to the mobilization for the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968.
Throughout history, there have been three reliable criteria needing to be fulfilled before the world understands that Russia is going to war:
1) Ground Forces: mobilized
2) VDV: mobilized
3) Reservists: being mobilized
The Russian Airborne Troops or VDV (from "Vozdushno-desantnye voyska Rossii", Russian: Воздушно-десантные войска России, ВДВ; Air-landing Forces) is a military branch of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. They are an elite force, on par with the Strategic Rocket Forces and the Aerospace Defence Forces. First formed before World War II, the force undertook two significant airborne operations and a number of smaller jumps during the war and for many years after 1945 was the largest airborne force in the world. The force was split after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, losing divisions to Belarus and Ukraine, and has been reduced in size.
Russian airborne forces have traditionally worn a blue beret and blue-striped telnyashka and are called "desant" (Ru:Десант) from the French "Descente."
In addition to all the manpower being called-up and deployed, Russia's Integrated air defense (short and long range systems + interceptors) also redeployed for the readiness in the south-west . . . near Turkey.
We have also just learned that Airborne Early Warning and Control (AWAC) aircraft are involved in the events of this sudden readiness test.
According to "Baltics Watch" the Russian Air Force (RuAF) strategic high-frequency (HF) voice net has now gone active.

A surprise combat readiness check has been announced in Russia's
Southern, Western and Central military districts, in the Northern Fleet
and also in major commands of the Aerospace and Airborne Forces.
"Today another snap check has started in Russia in accordance with
the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed
Forces," Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Aug. 25
"The forces of the Southern [District], part of the forces and facilities of the Western and Central military districts, the Northern Fleet, the major command of the Aerospace Forces and the command of the Airborne forces are on full combat alert from 7.00 a.m. Moscow time," he said.
"The check will be conducted on Aug. 25-31," said Shoigu.
An active preparation for the Kavkaz-2016 strategic drills is already underway in the Southern Military District, he added.
"A series of command and staff exercises has been conducted," Shoigu said, adding that 12 special drills were devoted to deploying the system of comprehensive support of forces.

rebel force [ISIS] includes substantial numbers of fighters who heretofore had
been defending the key border town of Azaz. With ISIS recently focusing
more on defense, they’ve decided to go after Jarabulus, another
valuable border crossing. With a lot of ISIS territory between Azaz and
Jarabulus, however, they decided it was simpler to go through Turkey,
and Turkey was apparently fine with the idea.Turkey’s interest in this is that the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) recently took the city of Manbij, with major US backing, and that’s making Jarabulus tougher for ISIS to defend. Turkey has long warned that the Kurds taking Jarabulus was a “red line” for them.
Instead of risking a US-backed push into Jarabulus, Turkey seems to be hoping this faction, dominated by Ahrar al-Sham, will get there first, precluding any more Kurdish advances across the Euphrates River into key border areas.

Syria's Foreign Ministry, which has the backing of Russia and as of last week, China,
condemned Turkey's military incursion against an Islamic State-held
Syrian town near its border, aided by aircraft from a U.S.-led
coalition, as a breach of its sovereignty,
Syrian state television reported. It added that any counter terrorism
operations inside its borders had to be conducted in coordination with
Damascus and accused Ankara of launching the incursion to replace
Islamic State with "other terrorist groups" a reference to rebels.
There has already been speculation that Turkey's latest incursion into Syrian territory has little to do with the stated purpose of cleansing ISIS forces close to its border following this weekend's Gaziantep suicide bombing which was promptly blamed on ISIS, and is merely the latest escalation in Erdogan's ongoing conflict with militant Kurdish forces located in the region.
As reported earlier, Turkish special forces, tanks and jets backed by planes from the U.S.-led coalition launched their first co-ordinated offensive into Syria on Wednesday to try to drive Islamic State from the border and prevent further gains by Kurdish militia fighters. Turkish tank units and Syrian rebels backed by the NATO member crossed into northern Syria to push Islamic State out of the border town of Jarablus, military sources said.

Five-Hundred (500) Turkish TANKS are now reportedly at the border of Jarablus, Syria!
MORE: The Syrian Foreign Minister is referring to Turkey's actions as "a violation of Syriuan sovereignty" and is now publicly demanding Turkey withdraw its forces. The Minister is also calling for an Emergency Meeting at the United Nations "to stop Turkish aggression."
This means what Turkey is doing is an act of war. We may be just days away from World War 3.

Turkish TANKS have begun crossing the border from Turkey into Jarablus, Syria.
Turkey "claims" they are attacking ISIS, but given the fact that Turkey has supplied, supported and done business with ISIS, this is being viewed by the Syrian and Russian governments as a ruse.
Moreover, the recent visits by Turkish President Erdogan to Russia are now seen by the Russians as a phony attempt at restoring good relations, when in fact, Turkey planned to enter Syria all along.
The word out of Moscow is "Betrayal of Russia is not smart." But there's more to the story than simple betrayal.
THE FACTS
Most FACTS are lost in the fog of war and 'shock and awe' of bombs exploding. The fasçade is that ISIS is actually IN Jarabulus. They are not.In fact, it's even more sinister than that. The invading FSA forces coming from Turkey ARE ISIS!

Sputnik News in Russia is reporting that "Turkey notified Russia of its operation" shortly before it began. This seems to indicate that Russia did not approve of this operation; and neither did the Syrian Government.
