Russia lifts ban on S-300 missile system delivery to Iran

Russia has lifted a ban on supplying Iran with a sophisticated air defence missile system, the Kremlin has said.

Delivery of the S-300s was cancelled in 2010 after the UN imposed sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme.
But the Russian president gave the go-ahead after Tehran struck an interim deal with world powers to curb nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief.
The US and Israel have criticised the news.


TODAY THIS WAS THE BIG NEWS THROUGHOUT WORLD HEADLINES. THE NEWS WAS THAT PUTIN HAD DECIDED TO GO AHEAD WITH A DELIVERY OF S-300 DEFENSIVE MISSILE SYSTEM TO IRAN THAT HAD BEEN PUT ON HOLD SINCE 2007-08.


WHEN YOU COUPLE THIS WITH THE U.S.'S MOVE LAST WEEK REGARDING THE NUCLEAR DEAL WITH IRAN, IT IS MORE THAN OBVIOUS THAT THE ISRAELIS ARE BEING PRESSED BY TIME AND THE EVENTS ON THE GROUND TO MAKE A MOVE ON IRAN.


THE ISRAELIS KNOW THAT THIS S300 SYSTEM WILL MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT TO CARRY AIRCRAFT OR MISSILE STRIKES ON IRANIAN TARGETS, SO THEY WILL BE PRESSED TO TAKE ACTION BEFORE THE RUSSIANS DELIVER THIS SYSTEM TO IRAN.


ALSO, KEEP IN MIND WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YEMEN. SAUDI, EGYPTIAN, AND OTHER U.S. BACKED FORCES IN THE REGION ARE NOT BEING VERY EFFECTIVE AGAINST THE HOUTHI (IRAN BACKED) FORCES IN THE REGION.
ALSO, THERE ARE RUSSIAN, IRANIAN, AND CHINESE NAVAL VESSELS ALL CLOSE TO ADEN THE YEMENI PORT CITY THAT IS CURRENTLY BEING FOUGHT OVER BY BOTH THE HOUTHIS AND THE SAUDIS.


ALL OF THESE THINGS POINT TO A COMING ISRAELI STRIKE ON IRAN BEFORE THE JUNE 30TH DATE THAT WAS SET ASIDE TO CONTINUE THE WEST'S NUCLEAR NEGOTIATIONS WITH IRAN.
